As I travelled throughout the Three Gorges region I updated my friends and acquaintenances through this loose email journal. Day to day experiences, trouble with the police, humble observations, and documentation of historical events are all included. With the exception of the omission of some names (for protection against reprisals) nothing has been altered from the original text.
